The bottom club went toe to toe with their more illustrious rivals in a first half that saw PSV take a 3-0 lead courtesy of goals from Balazs Dzsudzsak, Jeremain Lens and Ibrahim Afellay. Andreas Landgren and Andreas Lasnik hit back for Willem before Jonathan Reis sealed it with PSV's fourth seven minutes into the second period. Three goals in four first-half minutes set Roda JC on the road to a fifth win of the season, 4-1 against struggling Vitesse Arnhem. Arnaud Sutchuin Djoum broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, with Mads Junker helping himself to a brace immediately afterwards as Roda let loose. Willem Janssen made it four three minutes into the second half before Julian Jenner struck a consolation just before the hour mark. Andreas Granqvist netted 25 seconds into the second half to give FC Groningen a 1-0 victory over Heerenveen which moved them up to fifth. The hosts had plenty of chances in the first period at the Euroborg but could not find the net until Granqvist headed them ahead moments after the resumption. Samuel Armenteros' last-gasp strike lifted Heracles Almelo out of the relegation zone with a 3-2 victory over NEC Nijmegen. Armenteros capped a thrilling match by heading home in the 89th minute to earn his side all three points. Heracles had earlier surrendered a two-goal lead, given to them by Willy Overtoom's penalty and a strike from Everton Ramos da Silva, as Lorenzo Davids and Lasse Schone's penalty got NEC back on level terms.
