PARIS (AP) Winger Hervin Ongenda has signed a one-year contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, tying him to the French league leaders until 2017.

The 18-year-old forward has only made sporadic appearances for PSG over the past two seasons, scoring one goal in seven league appearances, but has impressed with his pace and trickery and is earmarked as a player for the future.

Ongenda, one of the few homegrown players in PSG's star-studded squad, says ''I will give my absolute maximum to help the club reach new heights.''

Midfielders Blaise Matuidi and Thiago Motta, and backup goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez all signed contract extensions over the past few weeks. Brazil center half Alex is in negotiations to extend his current deal, which expires at the end of the season.
