"I believe we gave everything, like we tend to do," said the Belgian. "We were organised and had good possession but it was very hard because we made one mistake with the goal. "We did have chances and it was frustrating because we couldn't get into the match. I won't use the term cheated because it's too extreme." Preud'homme's side are unbeaten so far in their title defence but have drawn four of their seven games to lie fourth - one place and two points behind this weekend's opponents. Leaders Ajax head into Sunday's encounter with FC Utrecht boosted by the news Vurnon Anita's injury is not as bad as first feared. The 21-year-old left-back was forced off with a leg injury before half-time of the Amsterdammers' 1-1 Champions League draw against AC Milan on Tuesday night. Coach Martin Jol was concerned he could be without Anita for a lengthy period, but on further investigation he will likely only miss a few weeks. "We feared a fracture, but it is a bruise," Jol told Dutch television station AT5. "Knowing Vurnon, he will be playing again quickly."
