The 29-year-old recently returned to the Britannia Stadium following a loan spell at Middlesbrough, despite boss Gordon Strachan's desire to extend the deal. Kitson is far from guaranteed playing time at Stoke and has therefore indicated that he would consider another move elsewhere. The former Reading star is rumoured to be a loan target of Celtic manager Tony Mowbray and he would be interested in a switch to Scotland. "Moving to Celtic would be a great opportunity. I am at a critical point in my career when I should be at my peak and I need to be playing," he said in The Guardian.
