Potters managing Woody fitness
The former England international failed a late fitness test on Saturday after previously starting every game. Stoke assistant Dave Kemp insists there is nothing to worry about over the 31-year-old, who has already played more minutes in the Premier League this season than he managed all last term. "He pushed himself in a training session," Kemp explained. "It was just a case of him wanting to do too much. "He doesn't have to push himself, but when players come to a new club they want to be a part of the group and doing the same things as the rest of the squad. "We've got to learn, and he's got to learn, what he can and cannot do. He's got to learn to pull himself out of things and we, as a staff, have to know when and when not to work him. "It's all about the management of time and bodies." Woodgate is not involved in the Europa League this week after being omitted from Stoke's squad as they look to save him for the Premier League.
