Spanish police say they have captured a supporter of Serbian football club Partizan guilty of killing a French fan.

Spanish police said on Thursday that Djordje Prelic was identified during a routine passport control in Barcelona after it was discovered he was using a fake Czech passport.

Prelic was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a Serbian court for taking part in an attack by a group of Partizan hooligans on a Toulouse fan which resulted in his death before a Europa League game in 2009.
