AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo will be out of action for six weeks with an injury to his right knee.
The Serie A club announced Saturday that Pirlo picked up a second grade strain to his medial collateral ligament during Friday's training.
Pirlo was set to return to the Milan lineup against Parma on Saturday, having been out of action since Dec. 18 when he strained a thigh in the loss to AS Roma.
The injury also rules the 32-year-old Pirlo out of both legs of the Champions League match against Tottenham and league games against Napoli, Juventus and Palermo.
