Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent has confirmed there is interest from other clubs in signing the Spurs striker this month.

The Russian, who has failed to earn a regular starting berth at White Hart Lane since his move from Spartak Moscow in 2008, is being linked with Sunderland after the Black Cats sold Darren Bent to Aston Villa and lost Danny Welbeck to injury.

Bundesliga sides are also interested in the striker but his agent Oliver Wendt believes any club would have to pay big money for Pavlyuchenko, who cost Spurs £14million.

Wendt told ESPNsoccernet: "There is interest from some clubs in England and Germany, but Roman has two more years on his contract with Tottenham.

"It's not in our hands if he can move or not. The decision is Tottenham's if they let him go or not and I think it is important another club likes to pay."
