Burnley have put youth-team coach Terry Pashley in temporary charge of the first-team following the departure of Eddie Howe to Bournemouth.

The long-serving youth coach will be assisted by Andy Farrell, Billy Mercer and Jason Blake as the club prepare for the Lancashire derby against Blackpool at Turf Moor this weekend.

Pashley has been at the club for almost 20 years and has helped to develop the likes of Jay Rodriguez, Chris McCann, Kyle Lafferty and Richard Chaplow in the youth system.

In his playing career he made over 400 Football League appearances, with spells for Burnley, Blackpool and Bury.
