Parker ready for tough test
Spurs have enjoyed a remarkable run of form since the end of August to propel them into third place, dropping just two points in 11 games. They will be looking to keep that run going on Sunday at the Britannia Stadium, which Parker recognises is one of the toughest trips in the top flight. However, the midfielder believes Tottenham can come out on top if they stay strong at the back and deal with the threat posed by the Potters. "It is a difficult place to go to. The way they play, they put you under a lot of pressure at times," Parker told the club's official website. "They've got the well-documented 'Rory Delap throw' and I think at any time in a game, when you play against Stoke, there's always a chance you could be under pressure in terms of where the ball is on the field. "There's no doubt, we're going to have to go there and defend as a team and hopefully show our quality going forward to go and win the game." Tottenham are currently just two points adrift of second-placed Manchester United, while they also have a game in hand. Parker continued: "We're on a very good run at the moment and things are going pretty well. It's about keeping our form, keeping our confidence and continuing to try and grind out results. "It's a difficult game at the weekend but we're on a good streak; hopefully we can go to Stoke and get the three points. "We're confident, we have a rhythm to our game, we know what we need to do, we know how to play. We just need to maintain that."
