Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino called up Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz on Tuesday for next week's friendly against Hong Kong.
Martino declined to select the team's top two forwards - Nelson Haedo Valdez and Lucas Barrios. Haedo Valdez plays in Spain with Hercules and Barrios is with German club Borussia Dortmund.
The Nov. 17 match in Hong Kong will be the last of the year for Paraguay, which reached the World Cup quarterfinals before losing to eventual champion Spain.
