Palacios and Thomas miss Honduras friendlies
Wilson Palacios and Hendry Thomas will miss Honduras' friendlies against New Zealand and Guatemala.
Palacios, of Tottenham Hotspur, and Thomas, of Wigan, dropped out of coach Juan De Dios Castillo's squad on Saturday after sustaining injuries. Emilio Izaguirre, of Scottish club Celtic, is also out injured.
Castillo said the injured trio would not be replaced.
Other foreign-based players Ramon Nunez, of Leeds United, and Edgard Alvarez, of Bari, will not take part in the away match at New Zealand on Oct. 9, but will be involved against Guatemala three days later in Los Angeles.
Of the 23 players called up, 11 took part in this year's World Cup in South Africa.
