O'Rourke fined for offensive gesture

Columbus defender Danny O'Rourke has been fined $500 by Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee for making an offensive gesture toward officials during the the Crew's tie with FC Dallas on Saturday.

O'Rourke received a red card, which automatically results in a one-game suspension and a $250 fine, when he made the gesture in second-half stoppage time of the teams' 2-2 draw.

The disciplinary committee issued the additional fine Tuesday after reviewing the incident.

O'Rourke will miss Columbus' match against Real Salt Lake on April 24.
