Olympian jokes about shattering TV during Arsenal loss
Olympic bronze medalist Kelly Sotherton put her impressive throwing skills to good use on Tuesday as she smashed her television during Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Barcelona.
The former British heptathlete and sprinter became frustrated watching her team suffer against the reigning world and European champions during the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Emirates Stadium.
And that anger reached its peak when Mathieu Flamini brought down Lionel Messi late in the game, allowing the Argentine star to put his side 2-0 up and all but rubber-stamp their place in the quarterfinals.

At least Sotherton saw the funny side. The javelin was notoriously her least favorite event and she admitted that the kind of aggression that she displayed while watching her football team might have served her well during her professional career.
I know. Now I know what would have got me 200 more points and a few extra medals https://t.co/ArLeFJT5U2

Editor's Note: Turns out, Sotherton didn't shatter a TV after all:
@MaxiWid wasn't trying to get anyone to fall for anything. Just a joke.
