Obertan up for Old Trafford
Obertan left Old Trafford for St James' Park in the summer after a disappointing spell with Sir Alex Ferguson's troops. The Frenchman, who has missed Newcastle's last two games with a toe injury, is hopeful of being fit to feature against his old club in the Premier League on Saturday. "It'll be a great feeling to be back at Old Trafford - hopefully we'll win there," Obertan told the Evening Chronicle. "I spent two amazing years there, so it'll be great to be on the pitch at Old Trafford again, to go back there and see friends I was with for two years. "Hopefully, we'll get a good result there - it would be really, really good. "It's all about Newcastle getting a good result now." Newcastle suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season at Manchester City last weekend, but Obertan believes they can bounce back by getting a positive result at Old Trafford. "So far, we have played some great football," added Obertan. "Our confidence is really high, and there's no reason why we can't go there and get a point, or even three, if we play like we have before."
