No regrets for hitman Carew
John Carew has no doubts that he made the correct choice when deciding to move to Stoke and not West Brom.
The Norwegian frontman switched to the Britannia Stadium on loan from Aston Villa in January and has scored two goals in his last four appearances for Tony Pulis' side.
Carew also had the chance to sign for relegation-threatened West Brom, but he has no regrets about snubbing the side he will attempt to defeat on Monday night.
He told The Sentinel: "I am very happy with the decision I made, not only because I have come to a good team, but because of the manager and the great lads here.
"I am enjoying every moment with them and really am having a great time.
"It is perfect for now, so I am very happy with the choice and am 100 per cent sure it was the right decision."
Stoke's most recent outing was last week's defeat at Arsenal, but Carew thought there were encouraging signs in North London.
He said: "I would say the Emirates is the hardest place for an away team to play.
"Maybe we showed them a bit too much respect to start with, but for the last 70 minutes we showed we deserved a point."
