The Blackburn boss enjoyed doing the double over his former club last season - as well as fellow Lancashire rivals Burnley for good measure - and is aiming to repeat the trick at the Reebok on Sunday. Under Allardyce, Bolton reached the heights of qualifying for Europe but there was acrimony with Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside when he departed. Allardyce insists, however, his achievements there will live with him forever. He said: "The great memories I hold for Bolton are never going to leave me for the rest of my life. "I was always appreciated as a player, and massively appreciated by the fans when I was the manager because I took them to the land they had never been before and I don't think they will ever forget that. Certainly I won't. "Every day, every week, I sign more autographs and pose for more photographs there walking around the streets than anywhere else." A win would send Blackburn above their local rivals and put Rovers on course to repeat last season's triumphs. "There was nothing better for Blackburn fans last year than doing the double over both Bolton and Burnley," said Allardyce, who believes there is no secret to Bolton's success this campaign under Owen Coyle. He added: "I've watched them a couple of times and the key is snuffing out the danger - and that's the front two. "They have two big lads up front who the rest of the team play off and they have both scored goals - Kevin Davies has scored six and Johan Elmander eight. That tells you where the danger is, you don't need to be a manager to know that is where we have to snuff the danger out if we want to get a result there. "We are just two points behind them and that makes the derby a bit spicier because if we get a victory we'll go above them." Martin Olsson and Nikola Kalinic are back in contention but Steven Nzonzi (hamstring), Vince Grella (Achilles) and Keith Andrews (groin) all remain sidelined.
