Cyprus' football federation has named Nikos Nioplias as the new coach of the national team.
The CFA said Wednesday that the 46-year-old Greek national has yet to sign his contract but will formally take over coaching duties later this month. No financial terms were announced, but his contract will run through qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.
The former coach of Greece's under-21 national team and Panathinaikos takes over from fellow Greek Angelos Anastasiades, who was fired in April after disappointing results in the 2012 European Championship qualifying campaign.
