Neymar scores gem in Santos' 2-2 draw

Brazil striker Neymar scored an outstanding goal in Santos' 2-2 draw against Atletico Mineiro in the Brazilian league, making a remarkable run from near the halfway line.

The 20-year-old Neymar, touted as the future of Brazilian football, scored the goal after a move that started just outside the center circle in Wednesday's match in Santos.

He received the ball and flicked it in between the legs of the first opponent, then avoided a sliding tackle by the second and found himself just outside the area with another defender closing in fast.

The striker made two neat moves to clear the opponent and fired home a low shot from near the penalty spot, his 119th goal in 200 matches with the team made famous by Pele in the 1960s.
