AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta has renewed his contract for another season with the Italian champions.
Milan announced Wednesday that Nesta's new deal expires June 30, 2012.
There had been speculation that the often-injured Nesta might retire after this season, but the 35-year-old recently indicated he plans to continue playing.
Fellow center back Thiago Silva extended his contract through June 2016 on Tuesday, and midfielder Mark van Bommel and third-choice goalkeeper Flavio Roma extended their deals through to next season.
