Juventus has confirmed that fullback Marco Motta has joined the club on loan from Udinese.
In a statement on Monday, Juventus says that it is paying Udinese €1.25 million ($1.56 million) for Motta's year-long loan and can make the move permanent at the end of the season for €3.75 million.
Motta spent last season on loan at AS Roma and played 21 times in all competitions. The 24-year-old Motta played 31 times for Italy's under-21 team and was part of the squad that played at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He has been called up to the senior national squad, but has yet to make his debut.
Motta's signing continues Juventus' rebuilding under new coach Luigi Del Neri, having finished outside the Champions League places last season.
