Monaco will ignore Gudjohnsen bids
Monaco expect on-loan Tottenham striker Eidur Gudjohnsen to return
to France when his deal at White Hart Lane concludes in the summer.
Spurs snapped up the ex-Chelsea and Barcelona hitman in
January for the remainder of the season to bolster Harry Redknapp's
attacking options.
And Gudjohnsen, who has two goals in his last three
appearances for Spurs, confessed is enjoying his time at White Hart
Lane.
The Icelandic striker recently claimed Spurs had an option of
extending his stay with the Londoners through next season.
However, Monaco have denied that such a deal is in place and
that they will reject any offers for his services this summer.
"We are pleased Eidur is enjoying his time in England, but we
expect him back," confirmed a club spokesman. "We will ignore any
bids."
