Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has reiterated that Radamel Falcao is not going anywhere after the striker returned from injury.

Colombia international Falcao was forced to miss the World Cup in Brazil after suffering a serious knee injury back in January.

Falcao returned to action on Saturday when he played the final 20 minutes of Monaco's 2-2 draw with Valencia in the Emirates Cup.

However, Falcao has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, where he would follow the path taken by his former Monaco team-mate James Rodriguez.

Jardim, though, does not expect Falcao to join his compatriot Rodriguez at the Santiago Bernabeu and he is optimistic that the forward will spend the coming season with Monaco.

"At this point Falcao is our player and he's with us 100 per cent and we don't want to let him go," said Jardim.

"It's a pity we lost James but we can count on Falcao staying. Regardless of what people say, he's our player.

"He's in the final stages of his recovery and he'll be with us this season."
