Struggling Bundesliga club Borussia Moenchengladbach has signed striker Mike Hanke from Hannover.
Moenchengladbach is bottom of the standings halfway into the Bundesliga season and was knocked out of the German Cup with a 2-0 loss at Hoffenheim on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Hanke has made 12 appearances for Germany but his career had stalled at Hannover. He has also played for Schalke and Wolfsburg and has 42 goals in 191 Bundesliga games.
Hanke's contract runs until June 2013.
