Millers hopeful over Nardiello
Rotherham striker Daniel Nardiello is expected to be back in contention for the home game with Southend next Saturday.
Laurie Wilson is also close to a return to action.
Nardiello has been struggling with a groin strain and missed Saturday's goalless draw at York, but could return for the reserves in midweek.
Left-back Wilson has missed the last five games due to a bruised knee, but is closing in on his first appearance since the 6-2 defeat at Port Vale early last month.
"Daniel Nardiello has a slight groin strain he picked up in a practice match we had on Wednesday, the morning after our match was postponed at Accrington," said manager Steve Evans.
"Our head of medical, Denis Circuit, and the lad himself have both told me it's improving rapidly and he will most likely be fit to play in our reserve match with Peterborough United on Tuesday, if not he should certainly be fit for the visit of Southend United on Saturday.
"Laurie Wilson is still feeling some slight discomfort in his knee, but, as it's only bone bruising, he has to work the joint, so he's training for a couple of days with the squad then working in the gym for two days, but I would think he's just about ready to play again."
