The former Manchester City youngster has managed just 25 appearances for the Baggies in the past two years due to a series of niggling injuries. However, after finishing last season strongly with a loan spell at Championship winners Queens Park Rangers, the 24-year-old is keen to hit the ground running at The Hawthorns. "I've been away for a bit this summer and got the chance to recharge the batteries, plus I've been injury free for a few months now, so I'm just looking forward to getting a good pre-season under my belt now," Miller, who has been linked with Middlesbrough, told skysports.com. "I did well in pre-season last year, but I picked up an injury straight after it, which sidelined me for 12 weeks, and that was a huge blow for me because all that hard work turned into dust. "Hopefully, I can remain injury free now and be firing on all cylinders by the time the season starts. "It is always good to have competition for places because it brings out the best in players, so hopefully I can stay away from injury and get the best out of myself because I've not shown that for a good few years due to either injuries or a lack of fitness. "It is hard to get back into the rhythm of things, but I've been feeling great for a good few months now and long may that continue. "If I can get my match fitness back up during pre-season and continue to train without any niggles then I can get back to the stage where I feel I should be."
