Sinisa Mihajlovic has been named Fiorentina's new coach after Cesare Prandelli left for the Italy team.
Fiorentina announced Mihajlovic's hiring on Thursday, a day before the former Catania coach will be introduced.
Mihajlovic had a long career as a player in Serie A with AS Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio and Inter Milan.
Prandelli will replace Marcello Lippi as Italy's coach after the World Cup.
