The midfielder, who this week became Blues manager Alex McLeish's first capture during the January transfer window in a £3million deal, is added to the players who were on duty in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup which extended City's unbeaten run to 14 matches. McLeish has no fresh injury worries but Lee Carsley, Gregory Vignal, Stuart Parnaby, Teemu Tainio, David Murphy and Garry O'Connor are still unavailable.
