Argentine midfielder Gabriel Pereyra scored twice as Puebla rallied for a 2-2 draw against America on Sunday in the Mexican Apertura championship.
Pereyra scored with headers in the 25th and 82nd as Puebla stayed in contention for the postseason.
Daniel Marquez opened the scoring for America in the ninth and then added a strike in the 40th.
It was the second draw in a row for America, which has 17 points from 12 rounds and is second in Group 2.
Also Sunday, Pumas defeated Jaguares 1-0 thanks to a goal from Argentine striker Martin Bravo in the 32nd. Pumas are second in Group 3 with 18 points, while Jaguares fell to third with 16.
After the first 12 rounds, Cruz Azul tops the league standings with 28 points, followed by unbeaten Monterrey with 26 and Santos with 19.
