Cruz Azul, Queretaro and Santos on Saturday won their second straight matches, keeping their records perfect in Mexico's Apertura tournament.

Cruz Azul defeated Atlante 2-0, Queretaro was a 2-1 winner over Atlas and Santos hammered Pumas 4-0. In Saturday's other match, Monterrey defeated Estudiantes of Monterrey 3-2.

Cruz Azul, which has been in the title game in Mexico the last three seasons - and lost each time - defeated Atlante 2-0 with goals from Alejandro Vela and Emanuel Villa.

Sergio Blanco and Julio Nava scored early in the second half for Queretaro, and Nestor Vidrio got one back late for Atlas, which has lost its first two matches.

Santos went ahead 1-0 on an own-goal by Pumas' keeper Sergio Bernal. This was followed by three Santos goals from Juan Pablo Rodriguez, Christian Benitez and Oribe Peralta.

Monterrey fell behind on a goal by Fredy Bareiro, but rallied with three unanswered strikes from Humberto Suazo, Walter Ayovi and Sergio Santana. Jorge Zamogilny scored late for Estudiantes.

In Friday's only first-division game, Tigres of Monterrey defeated Necaxa 2-0 with goals from Lucas Lobos and Francisco Acuna.

Three matches are set for Sunday: Toluca vs. Pachuca, Puebla vs. San Luis, America vs. Jaguares.
