El Salvador's Metapan pulled off a shock 3-2 win over Houston Dynamo on Wednesday, costing the U.S. club a spot in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League. Metapan had lost all five previous group games, but Emerson Umana's goal in the 55th minute lifted the hosts to a surprise win. A victory for Houston would have put it into the last eight, but instead that spot went to Panama's Arabe Unido, which lost 2-0 at group leaders Pachuca of Mexico. Elias Montes gave Metapan a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute and Anel Canales made it 2-0 a few minutes later. Houston made it 2-1 in the 28th through Geof Cameron, and then equalized when Dominic Oduro scored in first-half stoppage time.
