Messi's dad rejects transfer rumors
Lionel Messi's father and agent has moved to reject speculation that the Argentine ace could leave Barcelona.
Messi's future at Camp Nou has been the subject of conjecture in the last few days following Messi's spat with economic vice-president Javier Faus.
Messi hit back at Faus after the Barcelona director claimed that the mercurial playmaker did not deserve a wage rise.
The row fuelled rumors that Messi could leave Barcelona in the summer with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all linked with a move for the Argentine superstar.
However Messi's father, Jorge Messi, insists the row is finished and that his son has no plans to leave Barcelona.
"Barcelona fans must know that Lionel's future is linked to this club," Messi Snr told Diario Ole.
"This chapter must be closed now, don't seek anything more than a direct reply from 'Leo' to the public declarations made by Mr. Faus.
"What has been said has been said and that's it. When Lionel says something, it becomes news.
"We don't want any conflict with the club, nor with the president and certainly not with the fans."
