Dutch international Orlando Engelaar has signed to play with Melbourne Heart for the 2013-14 Australian A-League season.
The 33-year-old Engelaar, capped 14 times for the Netherlands, comes to the Heart following a lengthy career in European including stints with PSV Eindhoven and German club FC Schalke 04.
Heart coach John Aloisi issued a statement Friday saying Engelaar, who is 1.96 meters (6-feet, 5 inches) tall, will provide an imposing physical presence.
Aloisi added: ''I am confident that Orlando will be one of the most accomplished midfielders that has come to play football in Australia.

Engelaar will arrive in Melbourne next week to begin training.
