Five-time FIFA world player of the year Marta is returning to play in the Swedish league.

Swedish club Tyreso presented the Brazilian star as its latest recruit at a news conference in Stockholm Wednesday.

The 26-year-old played for three seasons in the U.S. Women's Professional Soccer league before it was suspended amid a legal dispute with an ousted owner. She will now return to the Swedish league where she spent five seasons with Umea between 2004-08.

''The goal is to win the Swedish league this year and play Champions League next season,'' Marta said. ''I enjoy being in Sweden. It is my second home and I have very good memories from here.''

Marta said she could have earned a higher salary in other countries, but that ''money isn't everything.''

The value of the contract wasn't disclosed.

Marta will join previous Tyreso recruits Caroline Seger, Lisa Dahlkvist, Linda Sembrant - all of Sweden - and Veronica Borquete of Spain. The club finished fourth in the league last year.
