Marseille striker Loic Remy is set to miss the first leg of the Champions League matchup with Inter Milan next week because of a leg injury.

The club said Thursday that Remy picked up a right thigh injury in Marseille's 3-1 win over Bourg-Peronnas in the last 16 of the French Cup on Wednesday and will be sidelined for about three weeks.

Remy was replaced at halftime by Ghana forward Jordan Ayew. He is the club's top scorer in the French league with nine goals this season and has scored twice in the group stage of the Champions League.

Marseille hopes to have him back for the second leg at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on March 13.
