Harewood, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Aston Villa earlier this summer, has been in talks with the Premier League new boys over a possible switch to Bloomfield Road. The 30-year-old impressed Seasiders boss Ian Holloway during a week's training stint and he was keen to do a deal with Harewood. However, both parties have been unable reach an agreement with personal terms believed to be the sticking point. Harewood's agent Phil Sproson has confirmed the deal has stalled and that his client could look elsewhere as he aims to find himself a new club. "Unfortunately at this moment in time it's broken down," Sproson told skysports.com. "We will now wait and see what happens and consider other offers." The news is a blow for Holloway as he desperately tries to bolster his squad ahead of the start of the season this weekend. However, the Blackpool Gazette claims the club has managed to secure the signatures of Manchester United's Northern Ireland Under-21 international defender Craig Cathcart and also Guadeloupe midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre, 26, from Czech side Mlada Boleslav. It is also believed two more deals are in the pipeline and could be announced on Wednesday morning.
