Fleetwood Town forward Andy Mangan is set for up to five months on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

The 26-year-old, who has two goals to his name in nine appearances for the Cod Army this term, last played for the first team in the goalless draw at Bristol Rovers at the end of September.

Mangan made a goalscoring comeback in a reserve friendly against Blackpool last month, however, after breaking down later in that game, the former Wrexham striker has been forced to go under the knife.
