Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini revealed striker Carlos Tevez refused to take the field as a substitute Tuesday during the club's 0-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.
The Italian boss said in his post-game interview the Argentine striker "let his [team] down" after staying on the bench -- and may never play for the Premier League club again.
"Tevez refused to come on to the [field]," Mancini told Sky Sports. "I can't accept this one player refusing to go on."
City was blown away at the Allianz Arena in Munich after two goals from striker Mario Gomez, while Franck Ribery's performance helped ensure the English outfit was outclassed by the German giant.
Asked if he thought Tevez would ever play for the club again, Mancini replied, "For me, it's a bad situation because in a game like this it's impossible for one player to refuse to come on, but also for the team because he didn't play."
Tevez, 27, reportedly did not offer an explanation and when asked if he said, "No, I'm not playing," Mancini replied "Yes."
"If I have my way he will be out of the club," the City boss added.
The Argentina international has made little secret of his desire to leave City, with a rumored return to Brazilian club Corinthians failing to materialize over the summer.
Tevez, who was also linked with Inter Milan, handed in a transfer request last December before retracting it. He then asked to leave again during the summer.
