Mancini predicts more from Kun
Ageruo, a club-record £38million signing, enjoyed a stunning debut in City's 4-0 win over Swansea, scoring nine minutes after his 59th-minute arrival, setting up another for David Silva and then hitting a 30-yard shot into the net in injury time. It was some introduction, but Mancini thinks there is more to come. "I think he needs to recover as he only finished the Copa America three weeks ago," he told Sky Sports 1. "He needs another two to three weeks to be 100%, maybe. For me he's a fantastic striker, young, and he's going to be a fantastic player for us." Aside from Aguero, Mancini was happy to kick the season off with a win - the only home victory anywhere in the Premier League so far, "I am delighted with this performance," he added. "In the first half Swansea played very well. We had some problems, then we pressed them and had some chances and in the end I am very happy." Aguero's team-mates were also impressed by his debut. "He's decent," said goalkeeper Joe Hart. "He's come in, £38million is a big price but it's £38million well spent. We've not seen much of him so far, the manager has kept him well protected." Captain Vincent Kompany added: "He's come in with a surprise. The great thing for me was that he was defending too. That's important." Aguero was joined on his debut by Gael Clichy and Stefan Savic. "There's a great bond here. Sergio, Gael and Stefan are feeling the love," Hart said. It was a tough night for Swansea on their Premier League debut, but manager Brendan Rodgers accepted his side had come up against a "terrific team". The Swans had impressed up until the opening goal, though, and Rodgers was quick to take the positives. "I said to the players I was proud of them," he said. "Up until the hour I thought we were fantastic. "I was disappointed with two quick goals, but we conceded goals against a terrific team. "If you look at the goals we're disappointed with the first two. They were basic mistakes. "The only goal of real quality was the fourth from Aguero. "We won't be downhearted. We won't come up against this type of opponent every week."
