Mancienne makes Hamburg move
The England Under-21 international, 23, made 17 appearances for Wolves last season and was enjoying his third loan spell at Molineux. He had also previously had two stints on loan at Queens Park Rangers and made just six first-team appearances during his time at Chelsea. Mancienne underwent a medical at Hamburg on Tuesday before finalising a transfer which is believed to be worth in the region of £3million. Capable of playing in defence or midfield, Mancienne expressed his delight at clinching a switch to the Bundesliga. "HSV is a big, well established club with fantastic fans," Mancienne told the club's official website. "It's a great challenge for me to be playing for this club." Hamburg's sporting director Frank Arnesen knows Mancienne from his own time at Stamford Bridge and is happy to have added the player to the club's squad. Arnesen said: "I have followed his development for years and I've been aware of his great potential."
