Manchester United show off all-blue away kit for 2016/17
Given the disappointment of Tuesday's capitulation against West Ham, Manchester United fans could use a bit of good news. Fortunately, a bit of cheer came on Wednesday, in the official release of the Red Devils' away kits for the 2016/17 season.
Returning this season is an all-blue away strip, a color that has a charmed past for the club. United donned all-blue kits during their Premier League title-winning season of 2002/03, as well as during their 1968 European Cup final.
Next season's iteration managed to avoid adidas' penchant for putting the kit-makers trademark three stripes down the side, instead keeping three red stripes on the shoulders. The club's badge is also stitched in red, alongside the red adidas logo.

While it may be odd for a team known as the Red Devils to go with a blue top, blue shorts and blue socks ... it just kinda works for Manchester United. The new duds will make their debut in Man United's first preseason match, vs. Borussia Dortmund on July 22 in Shanghai.
