Manchester City's has revealed their latest signing - Robots!

As part of an effort to offer the best game day experience, Manchester City’s latest initiative involves robotics to entertain and assist fans.
The transfer season may be over, but that doesn’t stop Manchester City from adding talent for game day. The club have announced a partnership with Chinese company Ubtech Robotcs Corp. to improve the match-day experience.
MANCHESTER CITY: TOP 13 GOAL SCORERS OF ALL-TIME
Over the past few seasons City has been focusing on not only the play on the pitch, but also how fans enjoy their time at and around the stadium. Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver was brought in to overhaul the food available to fans. Likewise the pre-match entertainment at City Square has created more of a game day experience vs. just the time the match is taking place.
Now comes Ubtech’s ‘humanoid robots’. They aim is to have these units around the Etihad stadium interacting with fans – signing songs and performing tricks. Initially it sounds like quite an odd plan. At just around a foot tall, how will they not get stepped on or tripped over? Most likely the club will have a handler accompanying each unit visiting guests throughout the day.

Manchester City has stated that they hope to use the robots not only in stadium, but as a part of their social and online media presence. Down the road you could even be able to purchase your own City robot.
While this won’t impact game day dramatically, it is a nice feature to attract the younger crowd and is innovative.
There is no official word on when they expect to debut the robots either in the stadium or at an official event. We can likely expect some promotion videos from Man City TV ahead of their in-person reveal.
