Malaga has confirmed the signing of defender Sergio Sanchez from Andalusian neighbours Sevilla, taking its number of summer arrivals to eight.
The 25-year-old Sanchez, who underwent a heart operation last year and did not play for 12 months before returning for Sevilla in January, passed a medical before penning a four-year contract.
Malaga have been hugely active in the transfer market since the end of last season, bringing in Joaquin Sanchez, Martin Demichelis, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Nacho Monreal, Jeremy Toulalan and Joris Mathijsen, as well as Sanchez and Diego Buonanotte.
Malaga finished 11th in La Liga last season, three points above the relegation zone, after winning five of their final seven games.
