Schalke coach Felix Magath says he has bought shares in the club's stadium.
Magath says in an interview published Thursday by the Sueddeutsche newspaper that "looking at it long-term, you could profit from the investment."
Magath said he was so sure of a good future for the club that he was "ready to dig into his own pockets to prove it."
The shares Magath has bought previously belonged to former Schalke general manager Rudi Assauer. Germany media reports said the shares were worth €600,000 ($897,420).
Magath guided Wolfsburg to its first Bundesliga title last season and then joined Schalke.
