Real Madrid acquired Turkey midfielder Hamit Altintop from Bayern Munich on Thursday, further bolstering its squad for next season.

Madrid says Altintop agreed to a four-year deal after being out of contract with the German club.

The 28-year-old Altintop is the second Turkey international that Madrid has brought in from the Bundesliga following midfielder Nuri Sahin from German champion Borussia Dortmund.

Altintop spent four seasons at Bayern, helping the German club win two league titles and two German Cups. The former Schalke player has scored six goals in 64 appearances for Turkey.
