MacDonald, who temporarily took charge after Martin O'Neill's departure last season, had been reserve team manager but will now work alongside McLeish, assistant manager Peter Grant and coach Gordon Cowans. The club have announced a fellow academy coach, yet to be decided, will be promoted to replace MacDonald in charge of the reserves. McLeish has also announced Terry Gennoe's appointment as first team goalkeeping coach until the end of the season. "I've changed the coaching staff round a little bit," McLeish told avfc.co.uk. "We've enhanced it. "We've got Sid (Cowans) there and Peter obviously, my assistant, and I've promoted Kevin to help with the first team as well. At a club like this we need all the best coaches we can get."
