Lyon edges Dijon 2-1 in Ligue 1
Bafetimbi Gomis scored the winning goal in Lyon's 2-1 win over Dijon to help his team take the provisional lead in the French league on Saturday.
Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons headed in a corner from Kim Kallstrom to open the scoring after six minutes.
Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet equalized with a powerful long-range strike in the 43rd, but Gomis powered home a header in the 53rd to give Lyon the victory.

Saint-Etienne took the lead after Lille defender David Rozehnal turned a low cross from midfielder Fabien Lemoine into his own net in the seventh minute. But Saint-Etienne was down to 10 men in the 34th when Loris Nery was red-carded for a late tackle on fullback Franck Beria, and Lille took full advantage.
Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard scored the first two for Lille, first going through the Saint-Etienne defense to equalize with a side-footed finish in the 55th. Hazard made another solo run in the 73rd, outpacing the Saint-Etienne defense to fire under the crossbar for a 2-1 lead.
England international Joe Cole made his French league debut, coming off the bench in the 65th to replace Lille forward Dimitri Payet.
Cole helped set up the third, skipping past two defenders in the 86th to cut the ball back for Poland playmaker Ludovic Obraniak who sealed the win.
Lille earned its third straight victory to trail Lyon by a point.
Marseille extended its poor start to the season by losing at home to Rennes to remain winless in the league, eight points behind Lyon.
Rennes forward Jires Kembo-Ekoko scored with a low drive in the 76th.
Marseille was frustrated by Rennes goalkeeper Benoit Costil, who denied Loic Remy in the 14th and 50th and Andre-Pierre Gignac in the 70th.
In Caen, Toulouse scored the winner in injury time. Etienne Capoue's initial shot was stopped by goalkeeper Alexis Thebaux, but the midfielder converted the rebound.
In Sochaux, forward Edouard Butin netted for the hosts from a tight angle in the 40th from a cross by Sebastien Corchia.
But Innocent Emeghara salvaged a draw for Lorient by dribbling past Corchia to slip the ball past goalkeeper Teddy Richert in the 88th.
In Ajaccio, forward Gael Danic put Valenciennes ahead by flicking home a cross from David Ducourtioux in the 36th.
But Ajaccio winger Frederic Sammaritano leveled with a curling free kick in the 47th, and added a second goal in the 54th by beating Valenciennes goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau. Brazilian striker Araujo Ilan made it 3-1 with a chip in the 58th.
On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain hosts Brest, Auxerre visits Nancy and Montpellier faces Nice.
