LuaLua still wants a Magpies future
The 19-year-old is on loan at the Withdean Stadium from the Magpies until January and is likely to feature in the side to face MK Dons on Saturday. LuaLua is now in his second stint at Brighton after an initial spell last season, where he played 11 games despite not finding the net. Manager Gus Poyet sees the player to be a very bright talent, and after giving a man-of-the-match performances for the Toon Army in the Carling Cup against Accrington Stanley last month, LuaLua still felt he had a part to play for them. "I think people know that wherever I play, I try my best," he told the Chronicle. "The Carling Cup games are good at Newcastle because Chris Hughton gives the younger lads like me a chance to show what we can do. "But I was at Brighton last season and I enjoyed it. "I have to say my priority is at Newcastle United, though. I love playing for Newcastle and pulling on the black-and- white shirt. "When you get the chance to play in front of 50,000 people it's amazing. "I've been here since I was a young lad and I love the club. I don't have any problems with anybody here, and if I can go on and play for Newcastle in the future it will be a dream come true for me." Newcastle, meanwhile, have confirmed Spanish forward Xisco will serve a three-match ban following his sending-off in Tuesday night's reserve clash with Sunderland. The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card for flicking out his foot at Black Cats youngster Jordan Cook in an off-the-ball incident as the Magpies' second string won 3-1 at the Stadium of Light. He will now miss first-team games against Blackpool and Everton in the Premier League and Chelsea in the Carling Cup.
