The deal also allows him to feature in Saturday's FA Cup first-round tie at Preston. Daniels arrived from West Brom in late October as cover for the injured Glenn Morris and has so far made four appearances. His initial agreement was due to expire on November 26 but the latest deal with Albion means he will now stay at Roots Hall for the majority of the hectic Christmas period. Daniels' availability for the weekend provides welcome relief for manager Paul Sturrock, who was facing a selection headache this with Morris (thigh) and back-up Daniel Bentley (back) currently on the sidelines.
