Liverpool v Norwich reaction

After last weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson suggested Liverpool's Uruguay international was prone to diving. Suarez seemed to be on the wrong end of a couple of decisions in the 1-1 Anfield draw against Norwich, most notably when he went down under a second-half challenge from Marc Tierney when he looked to be clear on goal. However, Dalglish fully supports the striker, who after last week's match was also accused of racism by United defender Patrice Evra, and hit back at the snipers. "I think the problem is there are people who question Luis Suarez's integrity," said the Scot. "It is their integrity that needs questioning not his. "On the football pitch he is exemplary, a fantastic footballer and we have 100 per cent faith in Luis Suarez and the way he conducts himself." On another day Suarez would have had a hatful of goals against the Canaries. Despite dominating the first half, in which both Martin Skrtel and Suarez hit the woodwork, the hosts had only Craig Bellamy's goal in added time against his former club to show for their efforts. Having hit the post again after the break, Norwich seized their chance against a side which has kept only two clean sheets this season and Grant Holt powered home a header on the hour. Liverpool threw everything at the Canaries late on, with Andy Carroll missing a close-range header and goalkeeper John Ruddy brilliantly saving Suarez's volley in the last few seconds. "I think on the balance we deserved to take three points," added Dalglish. "We played really well up to a point, created some great chances with some good passing and movement but when you are only one in front it gives them some encouragement. "They were hanging on in there but if we don't convert our chances we are always going to give other people a chance and they took it. "Even then we came back and the goalkeeper made a fantastic save from Luis and Andy had a chance as well. "There is a lot of disappointment because the boys have played really well and I don't think a point is a reflection of how well they have played. "If they continue to play like that they will win a lot more games than they will lose." Norwich ended a run of four successive defeats to Liverpool and made it 10 points from the last five matches and manager Paul Lambert hailed the draw as "massive". "I thought the first half we were a bit frightened by it and never really got going and Liverpool put us under immense pressure but the way the lads defended was great," he said. "The second half we played the way we have been [doing] and I thought we went at them and were excellent. "There have been some fantastic teams come here and get turned over. "It is massive, that is a huge point. No-one gave us an earthly [chance] coming here." Lambert praised the contribution of Holt and Ruddy. "Grant came on and I think it was a fantastic header. I thought him and Steve Morison together were an absolute handful," he added. "I thought Suarez's volley was going in but when you play at a high level big players produce big moments and I thought that save was world class."
